Christopher M.V. Parker - Director of Business Relations
From a young age, Chris Parker was interested in Wind Farms and Hydroelectric Dams. He toured the world with his parents on multiple occasions, visiting powerplants and understanding their function and their importance to society, and what failed power grids could to a country's economic stability.
Once he became of age to attend university, he chose Queen's University in Kingston. In his second year of studies, Chris Parker enrolled full-time in the Canadian Armed Forces as an Artillery Officer. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Honours and had the distinction of being named on the Dean's List. Working full-time as an Officer Cadet and attending university built a great deal of character and work ethic that is hard to match in the civilian world.
Since his graduation, he attended specialized leadership school for 1 year to develop the skills required of a Canadian Officer to lead men and women in the most dangerous of conditions. Upon graduation, Chris Parker was selected to lead at the 2nd Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery in Petawawa, Ontario.
Throughout his military career, Chris was employed as the Unmanned Arial System (UAS) Commander where he oversaw the training, employment, and safety policy for 25 personnel both in Canada and abroad. He has also been employed as a Surveillance and Target Acquisition Officer where he managed a team of 14 staff in a 24/7 environment to maintain positive control of all UAS, artillery, helicopters, fighter jets, and bombers in a battle space. Chris continuously advised senior leadership (From Lieutenant Colonel to Brigadier General) on how to use these assets to shape their environment.
Operational Deployments include his 8 month tour to Ukraine on Operation UNIFIER, Canada's assistance mission to Ukraine, where he worked as the liaison between all military academies in the country and government policy developers, both Canadian and Ukrainian. He has also deployed on Operation LENTUS, Canada's domestic relief team to help with the flooding in and around Ottawa and Renfrew County. This gave him valuable first-hand civil-military coordination training in disaster environments, working with local governments and emergency services.
Chris has also worked on multiple government procurement projects, dealing with the complexities of government systems in Ottawa. Some of these projects include procurement of specialized UAS systems for overseas disaster relief, specialized armoured vehicles, and radar systems. He has also worked with OEMs, including Boeing, Raytheon, General Dynamics, and Lockheed Martin.
